Wi-Fi and local network
A single ISP router sitting in the hallway is the most common reason a smart home "feels slow". We design a proper network: wired runs to the access points, one network name across the whole home, and a separate segment for automation devices.
RBI Automation designs and installs local networks and Wi-Fi in apartments, houses and offices in Tashkent: structured cabling, switches, access points with seamless roaming, and a dedicated segment for smart home devices and the local Home Assistant server.
Why a wired run to each access point matters
Repeaters and over-the-air mesh split an already limited radio channel: every hop roughly halves throughput. An access point fed by twisted pair runs at full speed and avoids the latency that in a smart home feels like "the light came on a second later".
Put the smart home on its own segment
We move automation devices onto a separate network. Guest traffic then does not interfere with the system, and the devices themselves do not reach further out than they need to. Home Assistant stays reachable from your main network.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need networking if my smart home is wireless?
Not always, but almost always worth it. Zigbee devices do not use Wi-Fi, but the hub, the Home Assistant server, tablets and video streams depend on the network directly.
