Gas leak detection
Most Tashkent apartments have a gas hob, and often a gas water heater too. A gas detector is the cheapest insurance you can install, and it needs no building work at all: a kitchen socket and that is it.
RBI Automation installs natural gas leak detectors in kitchens and boiler rooms in Tashkent. If the concentration rises, a built-in siren sounds, a phone notification is sent, and where a solenoid valve is fitted the gas supply is shut off automatically. The detector joins the wider smart home system and can also start the extractor fan.
Where it goes
Natural gas is lighter than air, so a methane detector mounts near the ceiling, a couple of metres from the hob or water heater. This matters: a detector placed low near the floor is useless for methane. The engineer determines the position during the visit.
Frequently asked questions
Can it be installed without a smart home?
Yes, the detector works standalone with its siren. But connected to the system it also sends a notification, starts the extractor and closes the valve.
