A hotel is not a hundred smart apartments — it is one system with a hundred identical rooms and a shared control desk. Here automation pays for itself literally: lights and air conditioning switch themselves off in an empty room, while reception sees the status of every room on a single screen.
RBI Automation delivers guest-room automation for hotels and serviced-apartment complexes in Tashkent on HDL Buspro equipment. A standard room includes an energy-saving key card switch, bedside control of lighting and climate, do-not-disturb / make-up-room logic, and status reporting to the duty desk. The company is a partner of the official HDL distributor in Uzbekistan. Equipment warranty is 5 years.
The economics are simple
After payroll, a hotel's largest cost is electricity, and most of it goes on cooling empty rooms. A key card switch plus a presence sensor removes almost all of it: the guest leaves, climate drops to standby, lights go off. On a hundred-room property that shows up in the accounts within the first season.
One room type, then replication
We design a single room: equipment schedule, panel diagram, panel positions, scene logic. Once approved, that room is replicated across the floor and the whole hotel. This sharply reduces the cost per control point and the installation time, and reduces maintenance to a single stocked spares kit.
Why Buspro rather than Wi-Fi
Wireless Wi-Fi solutions do not work in a hotel: hundreds of devices behind concrete walls, a shared guest network, and a hard requirement for fault tolerance. Buspro is a wired industrial standard with bus addressing, built precisely for buildings like this. We install HDL as a partner of the official distributor in Uzbekistan.
What we need from you to start
Floor plans, the room inventory specification, and where construction currently stands. From there we produce the cable routing design (a separate service), agree the standard room, and move onto site alongside the electricians.
Frequently asked questions
From how many rooms does it make sense?
The economic effect is already visible at 20–30 rooms, and standardised design pays back more the larger the room inventory. We work with small boutique hotels as well as serviced-apartment complexes.
Can an operating hotel be automated?
Partly, but a wired system needs access to cable routes. The realistic route for a working hotel is a floor-by-floor refurbishment, taking one floor out of service at a time.
Who maintains the system after handover?
We do. HDL Buspro equipment carries a 5-year warranty, and we train your own engineer in the basics: changing scenes, swapping a module, reading statuses.
